Insight + Heart + Play

Hello! My name is Alyssa Farber and I am an ontological coach (more on that below) and founder of Potential Unleashed Coaching & Consulting. I partner with individuals who yearn for more out of life to get clear about what’s important to them, break down obstacles, and move forward with renewed energy and purpose.

After 25 years leading individuals and organizations in making informed and inspired choices through analytical problem-solving, strategic insights, and resource building, I stepped back from what was expected of me - and was exhausting me - to look forward towards who I wanted to be in the world. This journey of self-discovery led me to coaching, where I align my gift for observing the true nature of things with my core values of authenticity, service, and play.

I believe that every individual has the potential to positively contribute to the world and deserves the opportunity to do so. What I love about coaching is that it provides clients with the personalized attention, tools and accountability necessary to transform their potential into life affirming energy. Can you imagine a world where everyone is energized and living with purpose? This is what keeps me going.

As an ontological (fancy word for the study of being) coach, I empower clients to discover who they are being and who they want to be, and I guide this insight towards what they want to do and the actions required to get there.  This approach creates powerful attitudinal and thought shifts with broad impact across all areas of life.

Fun Facts about me:

  • I have lived in Sudbury MA, Burlington VT, Gettysburg PA, Washington DC, Berkeley CA, and Seattle WA

  • As a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), I serve as a voice for children in foster care

  • When not coaching, I am a jeweler and I work as a child care specialist at a sanctuary for foster kids

  • I can stand upside down for over a minute and deadlift 140% of my body weight

  • I once repo’ed a 100-foot wooden schooner

  • I love road trips, ice cream cones, and the Mariner’s Moose!

  • The dog featured on this site is my pup, Izzy, who I rescued from a back yard kennel and rehabbed with my husband and lots of coaching from multiple dog specialists
